These Terms of Use explain the rules for using ESHEETS, including the website, interactive worksheets, teacher portal, tutor tools, games, puzzles, and any related services provided through esheets.io or portal.esheets.io.
By using ESHEETS, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or services.
1. Who we are
ESHEETS is an educational website providing interactive mathematics worksheets, revision resources, games, tools, and a teacher/tutor portal for setting tasks and viewing pupil results.
The site is operated by Richard Linnington.
Contact: richard@esheets.io
2. Educational use
ESHEETS is designed to support mathematics teaching, tutoring, revision, homework, formative assessment, and independent practice.
The materials are provided for general educational use. They are not a substitute for professional teaching judgement, school assessment policies, safeguarding procedures, or exam-board guidance.
Teachers, tutors, parents, carers, and students should check that any resource is suitable for their own context before relying on it.
3. Accuracy of content
We try to make ESHEETS accurate, useful, and reliable. However, educational resources may contain mistakes, bugs, formatting issues, calculation errors, broken links, or outdated information.
ESHEETS does not guarantee that every worksheet, answer, score, explanation, diagram, result, or piece of content will be error-free.
If you notice a problem, please report it using the contact page or by emailing richard@esheets.io.
4. Accounts and membership
Some parts of ESHEETS may be free to use. Other parts may require a paid membership or teacher/tutor subscription.
Membership features, prices, access rights, and availability may change over time. The current price and subscription terms will be shown at the point of sign-up or checkout.
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure. You must not share your paid account access with other people unless the relevant membership clearly allows this.
We may suspend, restrict, or remove access where we reasonably believe that an account is being misused, shared improperly, used to abuse the service, or used in a way that creates risk for ESHEETS or other users.
5. Teacher and tutor responsibilities
If you use the ESHEETS teacher portal, tutor tools, tracked worksheet links, launcher codes, class codes, task codes, or dashboard features, you are responsible for using them appropriately.
In particular, you are responsible for:
- deciding whether ESHEETS is suitable for your pupils or students;
- sharing worksheet links or launcher codes only with the intended learners;
- checking that any pupil data entered into ESHEETS is appropriate;
- following your school, tutoring, safeguarding, data protection, and parental-consent policies where relevant;
- not using ESHEETS as the sole record for important assessment, safeguarding, disciplinary, or high-stakes educational decisions.
ESHEETS is intended as a lightweight formative assessment and practice tool, not as a formal school management information system or long-term pupil-record system.
6. Student and pupil use
Students may use ESHEETS to complete worksheets, practise mathematics, play educational games, and record results where a teacher or tutor has set a tracked task.
Students must not deliberately enter false names, impersonate other students, interfere with another person’s work, attempt to access teacher/tutor areas, or try to disrupt the service.
Where tracked worksheets are used, the entered name, score, worksheet information, task/class context, timestamp, and browser code may be sent to the teacher or tutor who set the task. More detail is provided in the ESHEETS Privacy Notice.
7. Browser code and tracking
Some tracked worksheet tasks use a browser code. This is a short code stored in the browser and sent with worksheet submissions to help teachers or tutors distinguish submissions and spot suspicious name changes.
The browser code is not a secure identity system. It does not prove who a student is. It may change if browser storage is cleared, a different device is used, or a different browser/profile is used.
It is intended only as a light-touch accountability and classroom-management aid.
8. Acceptable use
You must not use ESHEETS to:
- break the law;
- harass, abuse, threaten, or impersonate others;
- upload, submit, or share harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content;
- attempt to access accounts, classes, tasks, results, systems, or data that you are not authorised to access;
- probe, scan, attack, overload, reverse-engineer, scrape excessively, or disrupt the website or portal;
- bypass membership restrictions, payment systems, access controls, or technical safeguards;
- copy, reproduce, resell, or commercially exploit ESHEETS resources except as permitted by these terms.
We may restrict or block access where we reasonably believe these rules have been broken.
9. Use of resources and intellectual property
Unless otherwise stated, the worksheets, explanations, designs, code, page content, branding, and other materials on ESHEETS belong to ESHEETS or its creator.
Teachers and tutors may use ESHEETS resources with their own students or pupils as part of normal teaching, tutoring, homework, revision, and classroom practice.
You must not:
- republish ESHEETS worksheets or resources as your own;
- sell, license, or redistribute ESHEETS materials separately;
- copy large parts of the website into another product, platform, resource bank, or commercial service;
- remove ESHEETS branding from materials where it is present;
- use automated copying or scraping to recreate a substantial part of the site.
Reasonable classroom use is allowed. Commercial copying or republishing is not.
10. Tutor listings and public profiles
If ESHEETS provides tutor listing pages, profile pages, directories, or similar promotional features, we may edit, refuse, suspend, remove, or restrict any listing at our discretion.
You are responsible for ensuring that any information you provide for a tutor listing is accurate, lawful, appropriate, and not misleading.
ESHEETS does not guarantee that tutor listings will generate enquiries, income, rankings, search-engine performance, or business results.
ESHEETS does not verify every claim made by tutors unless explicitly stated. Users should make their own checks before hiring a tutor.
11. Payments, subscriptions, cancellations, and refunds
Paid membership or portal access may be offered on a monthly, yearly, or other basis.
Payment terms, renewal rules, and cancellation options will be shown at the point of purchase or through the relevant payment/membership provider.
Unless stated otherwise at checkout, subscription payments provide access for the paid period and do not guarantee any particular level of future feature development, traffic, results, or income.
If you believe a payment has been taken in error, please contact richard@esheets.io.
Nothing in these terms affects any statutory rights you may have under UK consumer law.
12. Availability of the service
We aim to keep ESHEETS available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
The website or portal may be unavailable because of maintenance, bugs, hosting issues, third-party service outages, security incidents, internet disruption, changes to Ghost, Supabase, Render, Resend, payment providers, or other technical services.
We may change, suspend, remove, limit, or discontinue any part of ESHEETS at any time.
13. Third-party services and links
ESHEETS may use third-party services for hosting, membership, authentication, payments, email delivery, analytics, database storage, or other technical functions.
ESHEETS may also link to external websites. We are not responsible for the content, security, availability, privacy practices, or accuracy of external websites or third-party services.
14. Data protection and privacy
Your use of ESHEETS is also governed by the ESHEETS Privacy Notice.
The Privacy Notice explains what personal data may be collected, why it is used, how long it may be kept, and what rights individuals may have.
Where a teacher, tutor, school, or other organisation uses ESHEETS with pupils or students, they may also have their own data-protection responsibilities.
15. Safeguarding
ESHEETS is not a safeguarding reporting system, school behaviour system, emergency communication system, or pupil-monitoring platform.
Teachers, tutors, schools, parents, and carers remain responsible for following their own safeguarding policies and legal duties.
Do not use ESHEETS to report urgent safeguarding concerns. Use the appropriate school, local authority, emergency, or professional safeguarding route.
16. Limitation of liability
ESHEETS is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ESHEETS is not responsible for:
- loss caused by errors, bugs, inaccurate answers, or incorrect scores;
- loss of data, results, classes, tasks, submissions, account access, or stored progress;
- disruption, downtime, or technical failure;
- decisions made by teachers, tutors, parents, students, schools, or other users based on ESHEETS content or results;
- loss of profit, business, opportunity, reputation, or goodwill.
Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any rights that cannot legally be excluded.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Use from time to time.
The latest version will be published on this page. Where changes are significant and affect paid users materially, we will try to give reasonable notice where practical.
Your continued use of ESHEETS after the terms are updated means that you accept the updated terms.
18. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes will be subject to the courts of England and Wales, unless consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
